She dreams, she hopes, she loves, she has faith. Like fireflies, it glows in her darkest days, the sweet taste of bittersweet memories. Sunshine and Raindrops, a sweet escape of a world only she knows.
She's strong, she's passionate, and she never gives up.
Most importantly, she's loved.

Four Days.

When they woke up the sky was raining. It wasn’t a few drops of rain; it was a shower, as if the sky was crying and didn’t want them to go back.  They decided to take a four-day vacation and just escape the city. The moment they were miles away both of them relaxed and came to peace. But now, their vacation must end. They must return back to the city, back to life.

She didn’t want to go back, she wanted to recline in bed and be held by him all day long. She didn’t want to leave the room. She enjoyed his presence, his voice, his touch and his muscular scent. She’d miss him when he was inches away, and she’d yearn for him when he was near.

A month ago she was under emotional stress. He too was burdened with the duties of life. She hated to see him stressed and it killed him to see her suffer the pain and agony that she went through. He promised that the four-days away would be her medicine.

He was right.

They spent the four days loving each other endlessly. They couldn’t have enough of each other. Her smile and loving words made him forget all his problems. His voice and touch brought her happiness and pleasure. They took their vacation day by day. They didn’t rush or leave anything out. She did everything she wanted, and he did everything he wanted. They were equally satisfied.

On their second morning, they had breakfast out surrounded by nature. Her hair danced in the wind. The movement of the flowers and grass were synched with the chirping of the birds.  As if they were in a move and everything was perfect.

She was perfect in his eyes. She was perfect for him. He fitted her like a glove. Like the Ying and Yang, they completed each other.

She stood near the windowpane looking out on the pouring rain. She wanted to cry herself. She didn’t want to go back, she didn’t want to wake up without him. Or go to bed without him.

He too was heartbroken. He wished there was a way that he could stop time and live with her forever.

For four days, all he could see was her. For four days all she could breath in was his air.

As if they were attached by a chemical bond but now they must separate.  He went and scooped her off of the ground. She buried her face in his chest.
“I don’t want to go back.” She whispered softly.
“I promise, it will happen again.” He said boldly. He had to be strong for her. He was her backbone. He was her safety net.
“You really think so?” She looked at him without a doubt in her mind.
He nodded and kissed her forehead.
She smiled knowing he never let her down and let him embrace her for the longest time before they went back home.

Part 5.

Dalal ended the phone call and sat quietly in her cold car. She stared at her phone and hoped that Faisal would call, but he didn’t call back. She sat in her car refusing to give up and go back in.
‘Faisal please call’ Dalal whispered to herself. ‘Please Faisal call me,” she looked at her phone screen and begged to see Faisal’s incoming call. But there weren’t any calls. He stopped calling, but she didn’t stop begging and pleading. She breathed out and reminded herself to stay positive.

She grabbed her half empty coffee cup and sipped her cold coffee while listening to some of her favorite songs. Most of the songs she listened to were dedications from Faisal. They had a whole play list, over a hundred love songs that held feelings for each other. With every song she listened to her eyes got teary, and she remembered her days with Faisal. She wanted to go back to him. She hated being far away from him. She wanted him even if it means she has to compromise and go against her family.

After a whole hour of waiting and hoping in her car, she went back in and to her luck no one was at home. She ran up to her room and took a long warm shower. Dalal’s morning optimism slowly faded away. ‘Why didn’t he call yet?’ Dalal thought as tears chocked her. She didn’t want to cry again so she decided to sleep the pain and confusion off, hoping that when she’d wake up it’ll all get better.

Mariam knew her cousin very well and she knew that if Faisal didn’t call, Dalal wouldn’t call either. Mariam had to take action; she didn’t want her cousin to suffer any longer so Mariam called Haya.
“Hayoo!” Mariam yelled as soon as Haya picked up.
Haya remained silent as she slowly left her brother Khalid and Sarah to continue watching Brave Heart. She ran up to her room, double locked the door and yelled, “Sh9aar?”
Mariam explained to Haya what Dalal told her and in exchange for that she got a few gasps and awe’s from Haya.
“Enzain al7een shaswe?” Haya asked.
“Madree, bas kel ely a3arfa ena Dalool mara7 etdg 3ala Faisal. You know how stubborn she is, and I’m sure Faisal knows too. So Faisal has to call and I’m sure he did, bas ya3ne et3arfeen Dalool wayed 3asra, fa ya3ne khal edg mara thanya. Hal mara I’m sure betrd 3alaih.” Mariam suggested.
Haya sighed, she loved Dalal so much and she loved how Dalal treats Faisal, but she hated the fact that Dalal was very stubborn. “Khalas, khalay hatha 3alay. Bas entay golay 7ag Dalal etred 3alaih etha dag! Lata7ger, tara wayed yetnarfaz men ely ya7groon and it can all backfire.”
“Eeh lat7ateen, I already told her to answer.” Mariam smiled. She loved the fact that she has a lot of influence over Dalal.
“Yalah I’ll call him al7een washoofa.” Haya ended the phone call and immediately dialed Faisal’s.

“Hala Haya,” Faisal’s tone was stern and annoyed.
“Hey, waynck?” Haya asked.
“Ga3ed a7oos bel sayara.” Fasial replied and was trying to avoid Haya’s questions, while Haya directly jumped to her point. “Enzain dagait?”
“Eeh, wayed marat. Akher shay 7awaltney voice mail.” Faisal gritted his teeth, he was very angry now.
“Call again?” Haya asked.
“La.” Faisal replied coldly.
“Faisal, yala 3ad it’s Dalal.” Haya slowly tried to persuade her brother to call. She reminded Faisal of his days with Dalal and everything they’ve been through together. Faisal sighed and promised his sister to call again as soon as he felt better.

Since they broke up, Faisal started smoking. He knew it was a bad habit and he was against smoking, but he found that cigarettes numbed the emptiness in his life, the emptiness that was once filled with Dalal. He wasn’t going to apologize to Dalal, he was just going to explain the kiss and that it meant nothing to him. He wanted to show Dalal that he wants her back as his everything. But he was never good with words. He’s more of an action man.
He drove to the nearest Starbux and got his usual dose of coffee. He sat by himself and drank his steaming coffee. All he kept thinking of were ways to make Dalal happy again. He knew she cried a lot today and he wanted to make it up to her. He wanted to make up a year to her. He kept thinking of ways to have her back in his life because to him, the moment she was gone, his joy, happiness and faith were gone too.
His grades dropped dramatically and he changed from being the loud outgoing funny guy to the quiet and serious guy. Faisal wanted his self back, but in order for him to be one hundred percent him, he needed Dalal in the equation.

Faisal finally planned out what he was going to do, so he first messaged Dalal but he got no reply. He decided to wait a bit longer. He was very patient and he didn’t want to rush. He waited a whole year to be back to Dalal so he got the strength to wait a bit more. After a whole hour of waiting he called. But she didn’t pick up. He waited a bit more then he took a deep breath and called again. On the third ring, Dalal picked up.

No one spoke at first, and then Faisal broke the dreaded silence.
“Dalal?” Faisal spoke quietly.
‘E3yoon Dalal?’ She thought to herself. “Hala?” Dalal replied with a soft sleepy voice.
“Asf, nayma?” Faisal apologized.
Dalal turned over in bed and laid back on her headboard. She cleared her throat and began, “la 3ade, I’m supposed to be up a9lan.”
“Warach shay?” Faisal asked but then he remembered he wanted to play it cool and not scare Dalal off.
“La,” Dalal breathed out but she silently hoped he would offer something.
But he didn’t, “hmm, 3ayal asf 3al ez3aj,” Faisal said. “Akhaleech 3ayal.”
‘No don’t go yet.’ Dalal thought to herself.
She tried to hide her disappointment and said, “Mashe, Allah weyak,” and then she paused; so many sweet words and names were about to escape her lips but she bit her lip to hold them in. As much as Faisal loved Dalal’s sweet soft voice he wanted to end the call and wanted her to read his message. He was dying to see Dalal’s pretty face again. He was dying to hold her and take in her scent. He wanted his baby girl back.
They fell in the awkward silence again, but this time Dalal quickly bounced back and lied and said she had another call on waiting and that she had to go. They ended the phone call and Dalal breathed out. She looked at her screen and found two messages. One was a miss you message, she had three missed calls and one was from Faisal.
She took a deep breath and with all her hope and energy, she opened the message.

“Lets pretend this morning never happened. Lets pretened I just came back. Dalal I just came back and I miss you so much. Abe ashoofich, please Dalal. 7 o’clock? 9ef6ay 3end Caribou Salhiya. I’ll be waiting like always.
- Faisal. xoxo”

Part 4.

Faisal didn’t know how to contact Dalal since he deleted her number a year ago. He drove off aimlessly not knowing where to go. All he kept thinking in his mind was how to get to Dalal. He couldn’t just drive over to her house and knock on the door and ask for her. He didn’t want to risk anything with Dalal since her family isn’t completely okay with dating. He eventually called his sister and asked for her help.
“Aloo Hayoona,” Faisal began.
“Let me guess, nsiat wain baitha 9a7?” Haya asked sarcastically.
“La, la lama al7een adela. Bas I don’t have her number.” Faisal confessed.
“Afa 3alaick, consider it done. Al7een a6al3a lek.” Haya assured her brother.
“Thanks 7abebty.” Faisal breathed out and ended the phone call.

Within seconds, Haya sent Faisal Dalal’s contact info with her phone number and address. Luckily Haya was a good friend of Dalal’s cousin Mariam and both Haya and Mariam were upset when they broke up and were willing to do anything to bring Faisal and Dalal back together. As soon as Faisal received the number he didn’t hesitate to call. But every time he called, he either was sent to voicemail or got the line disconnected. “Dalal reday 3alai.” Faisal demanded in his last voice message. But Dalal didn’t answer any of his calls and deleted all his voice messages before even listening to them. She was parked in front of her house but she didn’t want to go in looking like a mess. All she did was cry in her car and when she wanted to recompose herself, she broke down into more tears.
A thousand memories came to her, but the image of the foreign girl kissing Faisal’s cheek vanished them away. In her mind, he was still hers. In her mind, he belonged to her and no one could come near him. In her mind, she was the only girl in his world even though they broke up a year ago. She wasn’t ready to share him and will never be ready to give him up.
Dalal had a sinking feeling and was very dizzy from all the tears she cried. She felt as if she lost everything that meant to her. The hope she built all year long was slowly fading away and disappearing. She fell into despair.

Her phone rang for the twentieth time, she ignored it at first thinking it was Faisal, but when she checked the caller ID it was Mariam, her cousin. ‘Good,’ Dalal thought to herself. ‘I need Mariam now.’ With a deep breath Dalal answered the call.
“Aloo?” Dalal whispered and tried to sound calm.
“Sem3ay,” Mariam demanded.
Dalal was surprised with Mariam’s stern voice and didn’t reply.
“Ba36echyaha men el akher. Faisal bedig 3alaich al7een, ana 3a6ait Hayo your new number. Walla el3atheem ya Dalal etha maradaitay 3alaih ya walich!” Mariam threatened.
Although Mariam was two years younger than Dalal, Dalal looked up to Mariam. They’re close cousins and considered sisters since Dalal was the only girl between three brothers.
Dalal kept quiet. In her head she was interrogating Mariam and asking how she found out, but in reality she was silent as a mouse.
“Dalool?” Mariam’s tone became softer.
“Maryooma,” Dalal frowned and cried silently again.
Mariam sighed, “look madree shino 9ayer bainkom, Faisal didn’t tell Haya. All he said was that he didn’t want to lose you.”
The image came back to Dalal and repulsed her so she said quietly, “but she kissed him, and he did nothing about it.”
Mariam gasped and was very confused, “What?”
Dalal kept her silence and sobbed. “la7tha Dalool 3an elbachi oo fahmeni, who kissed who?” Mariam said.
Dalal took a deep breath and explained everything that happened from the moment she saw Faisal and when she got to the last part she sobbed in between each word. Dalal didn’t want sympathy from Mariam she wanted guidance. But what Mariam said wasn’t what Dalal expected.
“Yal habla!!” Mariam yelled and broke into laughter.
“Entay laish ga3da teth7keen? Mako shay etha7k!” Dalal wailed.
“Aqsm belalla enich film!” Mariam laughed, “Dalool hathy Sarah murt okho Faisal!”
“Laa,” Dalal protested, “shakelha mu kuwaity!”
“Eeh, ehya mu kuwaitya,” Mariam answered.
“Wentay eshdarach?” Dalal yelled.
“I’m still friends with Hayo remember? Matathkreen in April re7t 3irs Khalid? I told you Dalool, Khalid ebytzawaj Sarah. She’s half American half Danish.”
Dalal fell quiet as she slowly started to remember the facts.
“Ya3ne Faisal is still single?” Dalal asked.
“Eeh!!” Mariam yelled.

Dalal started calming herself again, and the repulsive feeling was slowly fading away. She still felt jealous and wary but the hope she built was coming back to her.
“Daloola please lat’9ay3een nafsich again. You love Faisal don’t you?” Mariam asked.
“With all my heart,” Dalal whispered.
“Khalas 3ayal, redai 3alaih ya bent, and fix what you had with him please.” Mariam pleaded.
Dalal nodded and promised her cousin she would answer Faisal’s next call.

Part 3.

Sorry for the delay :*
______________________

She wasn’t drop dead gorgeous, nor was she ugly. She was pretty and attractive. Just pretty and attractive. The tall girl had light brown hair with streaks of blonde. She was white, not the pale white, but the white that left her cheeks red. The tall girl walked to where they were standing. She gave the tall girl a questioning look as she came closer. ‘What was happening? Who is that girl?’ she thought. He looked at the girl and smiled. She knew all his cousins and family, but that girl looked nothing like them. She looked foreign.
“Hey,” the tall girl said.
“Hey Sarah,” he replied back.
She stood silently observing them.
“Good morning,” Sarah said as she pecked his cheek, “we’re all waiting for you inside.”
Her heart stopped. She felt hot liquid rise up her throat. Her stomach flipped and she was about to cry. ‘How could he?’ she thought. She wanted to slap the girl for kissing him. But what killed her the most wasn’t the kiss; it was the fact that he didn’t do anything. He didn’t push her off nor did he tell her to stop. She breathed out, “I, I need to go now.” She looked at him disgustingly and took steps back towards her car. She tried to keep her voice calm, but the anger and pain took over.
“La, la don’t go.” He followed her.
Sarah stood watching them with a lost look. She didn’t know what was going on, and she couldn’t understand most of the language.
She pushed him away and got into her car and started the engine. He banged on the window, “Please, khanafhmch.. Latro7een,”
“Etfahmney shno?” She yelled. “Bas khalas mabe afham shay. A9lan ana madre laish thaya3t wakty oo yait. You obviously moved on, wana elghabeya ely 3abaly you didn’t.” She put her car in reverse and drove off crying miserably.
He stood with a blank look and stared angrily at Sarah who was fiddling with her phone.
“Did you have to do that?” He yelled.
“What? I’m sorry I’m still learning.” Sarah protested.
Where Sarah came from, it was more than okay to kiss a brother in law, but where he came from it wasn’t.
“I’m sorry if I interrupted anything?” Sarah apologized.
“Well I hoped there would be a thing, but thanks to you, there won’t be anything.” He ran back inside. A year away from her was enough for him; he didn’t want to lose her again.

He looked frantically around his room for his phone and key that he didn’t hear the knock on his door.
“Faisal?” His brother called.
“Ha? Shino?” Faisal looked alarmed.
“Eshga3d etsawe? Yala tara eb yabde el film?”
Since their childhood, Faisal, Khalid and their baby sister Haya would have a movie marathon with their cousins and family each Friday. Now that they’re older, there’s a new addition to their gathering, which was Sarah. The three siblings decided to never miss out on a Friday gathering since both Faisal and Khalid study abroad.
“Adwer mefta7y,” Faisal replied shortly, and then he remembered that the reason he was in this dilemma was because of his brother’s wife. “Oo raja2an goul 7ag Sarah ena she can’t keep kissing us anymore!” Faisal snapped.
Khalid had a confused look; he wasn’t the conservative type and knew that his wife was loyal to him.
“Khalas enshalla ba7acheeha, bas tabe mefta7 shino? Laish wayn betroo7?” Khalid asked.
Faisal found his keys on his dresser, grabbed his phone and walked out of his room totally ignoring Khalid’s last question. He dashed down the stairs and just as he was about to leave Haya bumped into him. Khalid, unaware of what was wrong with Faisal, went to the living room to have a word with his wife.

“Faisal wayen betroo7?” Haya asked.
“Hayoona 7abebty I’m sorry bas I’m going to miss ga3datna elyoum.” Faisal apologized to his seventeen-year-old sister.
“Laish Faisal? Eshfeek?” Haya frowned.
Even though there was a five-year gap between Faisal and Haya, their relationship was very close. Faisal breathed out and looked intently at Haya, thinking whether to tell her or not.
“Faisal what’s wrong?” Haya gripped Faisal’s arm and looked at him sternly.
“Dalal.” Faisal replied.
It took Haya ten seconds to remember who Dalal was and what she meant to Faisal. When Faisal and Dalal broke up, Haya stopped talking to Faisal for weeks because she knew they were meant for each other.
“Eshfeeha?” Haya tried to stay calm.
“Sheftha, tawa. Ehny kanat bara. Bas ra7at. Ra7at 3ani.” Faisal stuttered.
“What??” Haya shrieked, “Shloun? Laish yat?” Haya asked for more details but all Faisal could do was shrug and shake his head. He didn’t have any answers, but he was desperate for them. Faisal tried to free himself from Haya’s grip so that he could run to Dalal, but Haya held his arm tightly.
“La7tha, gabl latroo7. Goly shino betsawe al7een?” Haya asked.
“Madree! Stop asking me questions I don’t have answers to,” Faisal yelled. “Kel ely a3arfa ena I don’t want to lose her again.” And with those words, Faisal stormed out of his house and got into his car to accomplish his mission.

The Anniversary.

This post is dedicated to you.
Enjoy love;*
__________________________________________

A perfect morning it was, waking up beside you. As I lay awake and watch you sleep I keep wishing time would stop and that I could savor every moment. You’re way deep in your slumber that you didn’t even feel me crawl closer to you and trace your bare arms. You keep snoring slightly and breathing deeply. I didn’t want to wake you since you only slept for two hours. I slowly got off of you and turned the shutters down, so that the sunrays were vanished, and we were in total darkness again. I crept slowly back in bed and placed myself back into your opened arms. I smiled happily; knowing that this was my place, mine only. I smiled happily; knowing that you belonged to me. I smiled happily; knowing that we will always be forever. I smiled happily; knowing that no matter how much we fight, at the end of the day its always going to be you who I run to and me who you'll hold on to. I smiled happily; knowing that I found you my missing puzzle piece. I smiled happily; knowing that I have you. I smiled happily and I felt you smile back.
I couldn’t go back to sleep, not because I was sad or upset. I was happy. I was extremely happy that I couldn’t stop smiling.

I sat up and traced your face. Your jaw line was perfectly drawn around your chin. Your cheekbones so high and bold fit perfectly with the shape of your wide eyes. Your nose is a fine straight line that intercepts with your perfectly drawn lips. I leaned my face closer and stared at your lips. I love how your lower lip is fuller than your upper lip. The things your lips do and say; turn my world upside down. I wanted you. I wanted to wake you up, but you were sleeping like a baby. I looked over the mountain of crumpled sheets and smiled. I whispered your name a few times but I got no response from you. I slowly took your hand and kissed your wrist and moved up your arm till I got to your neck. I slowly breathed out on your neck and felt your hands creep up my sides.
I smiled happily knowing what’s up to come. You pulled me off of you and laid me next to you.  I felt your broad chest get pressed on mine as you whispered words of love right into my ears. You were everywhere in a minute, all I could feel was the rush of it all.
The rush and happiness and excitement all slowly escalates as if you’re getting pulled up and ready to bungee jump, and with one small push; ecstasy.
“Happy anniversary, I love you so much.” He whispered.
“Happy anniversary to you too, I love you so much more.” I whispered back.

Part 2.

She froze. She knew his voice a mile away. She took a deep breath and turned around. It was he, right in front of her. She couldn’t believe her eyes. ‘Was I dreaming?’ she thought. He smiled and came closer. She stood in front of her car observing him. Her facial expression was priceless. It was a mixture of shock and surprise. He came closer and stood in front of her. He didn’t change one bit. His hair was midnight black that she sometimes mistakes for blue. His wide black eyes were staring right at her and she was falling deeply back into them, as if his eyes had the power of the black hole. His full lips were pulled into a smile. His eyes spoke for him. She looked deep into them and knew he didn’t move on, because she still saw herself in his eyes. She moved closer and took in his scent, which was a mixture of Dehn Oud and Creed. She closed her eyes and held her tears back. She just couldn’t believe that the many times she came to his house, he’d never be there; but today, he was standing right in front of her.
He held her face and her heart skipped a beat.
“Open your eyes,” he whispered.
“I miss the loving look you have for me.” He brushed her cheek.  She opened her eyes and unleashed her tears. He shook his head and wiped her tears away.
“Why the tears?” He asked.
She shook her head. She didn’t know what to do or say. A lot could happen over a year. Did he still love me, she thought. Is he still single? Is he dating again? Questions filed her eyes as she stood staring at him with teary eyes. She wanted to unleash everything in her heart that she kept for the past year. She wanted to stop time and catch up the lost year with him. She wanted him back. She took a deep breath and whispered, “I missed you greatly.”
He was thrilled to hear that so he whispered back, “Not as much as I did.” He then opened his arms and she fell right into them. He wrapped his arms around her and picked her off the ground. She wrapped her arms around his neck and watched the world spin as he twirled her around. She didn’t want to let go of his neck but she had to. He put her back down and took one step back. She could see the relieved look in his eyes. How long has he been back, she thought. After a few seconds, they fell quiet. Not the awkward quiet but the shy quiet.  She had so many questions and she wanted answers.

He cleared his throat and began, “So, how are you?” He asked.
“I’m fine, and you?” She replied casually. She wanted to scream and tell him how happy she was but she wanted to keep it cool.
“I’m good, how’s university with you?” He asked, although what he wanted to know was whether she’s still single or not.
“It’s hectic,” she sighed and looked at his hands searching for a ring, but she didn’t find one.
“May I ask you something?” He asked politely.
“Sure,” she replied eagerly.
“Why did you leave your car and come closer to my window?” He asked.
She bit her lower lip and stared at him nervously. Should she tell him the truth? Tell him that she was dying to see him.
“Hmm, I saw your curtains move and I...” she paused.
“Yes? You what?” He inquired impatiently.
“I thought it was you. I wanted to make sure. I wanted to see you.” She said truthfully.
He smiled, “Then I wish my curtains were open weeks ago.
She fell silent and looked at him blankly. “I don’t understand?”
“I’ve been here for the past three weeks, I’ve seen your car park in front of my house and watched you stare intently at the window and cry. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know you wanted to see me.” He said.
Tears began forming in the corners of her eyes as she remembered the cold days she had in the past week. She stayed quiet. She didn’t know whether to hate him or love him for hiding from her the past three weeks.
“What’s wrong?” He whispered as he brushed her cheek.
“Nothing,” she whispered back.

He looked at her, she didn’t change one bit. Her hair, a brilliant shade of brunette, as usual fell playfully down her shoulders covering her upper back. Her petite figure was covered with an oversized cardigan. Everything about her was still the same. She still wore rings on each thumb and forefinger and had bracelets covering each wrist. He smiled; she was still his beautiful girl. She wanted to feel his skin on hers again. She wanted his touch and kisses, but she didn’t want to seem too forward. He was desperate, he wanted to know if he can still call her ‘his’, despite the year they’ve been away from each other.
“So?” He said.
“Yeah?” She replied.
“Any plans for today?” He asked, hoping she’d say that she had none. She shook her head.
“How about coffee?” He suggested.
“Hmm, sure. I was just about to go get some.” She lied. She wanted to do anything just to be with him. He nodded and just as he did, a tall girl stepped out of his house and came towards them.

Part 1.

It’s been a year since she last saw him. A year since they last spoke, a year since they last kissed. It’s been a year since they decided to end. They did not fight nor argue; things just fell silent between them. She knows now that the decision they made came from their minds not hearts. Each day when she wakes up in the morning to the sound of the alarm clock, she hurts. When she goes through her day without hearing his voice or funny laugh, or feeling his touch or seeing his face her heart aches. He said she’d be okay, he told her that she’ll move on. Clearly to this day, she still hasn’t.  Since they decided to break up, she knew that they’d never cross paths again since he’s in one continent and she’s on the other. She won’t lie, she still drives to the places they’ve been to together. She drives to his house and just stares at his window, hoping and praying a miracle would bring him back. But every time she stares at the window, no one stares back. Lately, she’s been thinking so much about him. Yes. She misses him. Yes. She regrets her decision. No. It wasn’t for the better. Yes. She wants him back.
Today she woke up two minutes before the alarm. She turned it off quickly and decided to go back to sleep, but something in her told her that today was going to be a different day. She felt different waking up this morning. Her heart was beating fast, as if she just finished running a 300 mile lap. She checked her phone for any missed calls, but none were found. She washed up and stood out on the balcony to check the weather for the day; it was perfect, not too hot not too cold; a perfect weather for surprises. She put on her dark blue skinny’s and started hunting down her favorite grey shirt. She looked through her whole closet, but she couldn’t find it. She looked through her drawers and pulled out a grey shirt with a victorious smile. Seconds later, that smile turned into a frown. It wasn’t her grey shirt; it was his. She held the shirt in front of her and pictured it on him. It fit perfectly on his muscular body, a bit tight around his biceps and it would slowly loosen up around his abs. She didn’t question why she had it or where it came from. She just stood there staring at his shirt; remembering all the cold nights she spent crying on her pillow with nothing on except his shirt. A cold shiver ran down her spine, so she folded the shirt and stashed it away in the back of her drawer. It’s funny how when you aren’t looking for things they magically appear and when you need them the most, they’re nowhere to be found. She took a breather and then decided to pair her skinny with a white tank top and a grey cardigan. She grabbed her keys, phone, I-pod and wallet and headed to the nearest Starbux.
She walked in and filled her lungs with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. It was around nine and there weren’t many people around. She placed her order and stood in the corner waiting for it. Did he change his coffee habit, she wondered. Does he still take his coffee with skimmed milk? Does he still forget to mention ‘no cream’ like he always does? Does he still drink his coffee while it’s extremely hot? So many questions filled her mind; it started to hurt. Luckily her coffee was ready; she grabbed it and went straight into her car. The sadness was slowly creeping in and suffocating her. She felt hot tears in the back of her throat but she swallowed them down. She put her I-pod on shuffle and the first song that played was a song dedicated by him to her. Through it all, she still had a strong feeling that told her to stay positive.
Since today everything that happened reminded her of him, she drove out to his house and parked on the side. She held her coffee cup close to her lips and stared out at his window. Something about them looked different. She put her cup back into the cup holder and stared intently. The drapes were pulled open and she could see parts of his room. The next thing she saw sent chills down her back. A shadowy figure was walking around the room. She knows that no one ever goes into his room while he was away. She quickly turned off her car and stepped out. She walked closer to his house and with every step her heart was beating faster. ‘Are my eyes deceiving me?’ she thought; or was it really him that I saw? She stood there just hoping he was in there and that it wasn’t anybody else. The excitement in her died when she realized that the curtains were forming the shadow. How stupid was she to think he was back. He was miles away, but she felt him close. As she headed back towards her car, she heard a voice. Stop imagining she told herself. Then she heard it again. She froze. It can’t be she thought. Her heart started racing and she was hyperventilating.

“Turn around.” The voice said.
