She dreams, she hopes, she loves, she has faith. Like fireflies, it glows in her darkest days, the sweet taste of bittersweet memories. Sunshine and Raindrops, a sweet escape of a world only she knows.
She's strong, she's passionate, and she never gives up.
Most importantly, she's loved.

Muneera’s face was priceless. She didn’t want to show Faisal that she was shocked nor disappointed. She held herself together, breathed out and smiled, “9jj walla Faisal??”
Faisal studied Muneera’s face to try to understand how she really feels, “Eeh walla.. Ana men radait men America kha6abt’ha w bacher kel shay be9eer rasmy.. w bas ard enshalla, bensawe el3res.”
“Alf alf mabrook! Mashallah ..” Muneera fake smiled and hugged Faisal.
“Uhh..” Faisal was so confused, “allah ebarik feech mashkoora!”
“Tharoori ta36eeni raqam Dalal 3ashan abarik laha bacher, ok??” Muneera said
Faisal nodded, “Muneera, bas 3endy su2al, please jawbeeni eb 9ara7a?”
Muneera nodded, “Amer?”
“Men9jich walla mestansatly? Or is this all an act?” Faisal asked sternly
Muneera gulped, “laa walla Faisal I’m happy for you! And I love Dalal and I’m happy she’s gonna be a part of our family!”
Faisal wasn’t convinced at all, but he had to believe her. “Bas please try to keep this information lay bacher 3ad! Mu ye6la3 elkalam ely gelta??”
“Lat7aaty.. My lips are sealed.” Muneera gave him a mischievous smile and left the room.

Faisal decided that Muneera was telling him the truth and that finally she’s going to mature up and stop bothering him and Dalal. He quickly redialed Dalal’s number and got lost the moment he heard Dalal say,
“Hala 7abeby?”
“Obouyy entay! A555 ya 7lu hal 9out bas!” Faisal said completely dazed
Dalal chuckled, “5al9taw ghada?”
“eeh yuba men gabel shway..”
“Bel3afyaa, how’s everyone?”
“Wala kelhum tamam, ela Muneera wayed metghayra.” Faisal said
“How so?” Dalal’s tone became a bit sharp.
“Madri tha3fana w me7lawa mashalla. La w eg3edat etsolf ma3ay w tabe etru7 tadrs barra eb America.” Faisal said
Dalal’s face turned a million shades of red, she was furious.
“Faisal, I have to go. Omy etnadeeni.” Dalal said
“Haw haw mashba3t mench degeega ne6raay,” Faisal begged
“Faisal aklmik ba3dain, bye.” Dalal ended the call and threw her phone on the bed.

“Dalal eshfeech???” Rawan asked astonished.
“Mafeni shay.” Dalal said as she grabbed her keys and headed to the door.
“Haay entay! Wayen betru7een wetkhaleena!!” Farah asked as got up to the door.
Dalal looked at both Rawan and Farah with teary eyes, “uhh, nsait shay belsayara.. barou7 ayeeba w ard.” She grabbed her phone and quickly ran out to her car.
She put the car in reverse and drove off.

“Rawan esh9ar?” Farah asked
“Madree, 3elmy 3elmich!!” Rawan quickly checked her twitter timeline to see if Faisal or Dalal tweeted anything, but there was nothing.
“Faisal kalmha 9a7?” Farah asked
“Eeh dag 3alaiha w it was fine ba3dain madre shno galaha ely 3afs’ha chethy!” Rawan said.
Farah looked outside the window, “Rawan, Dalool meshat..”
“Shno ya3ne meshat!!” Rawan jumped off of the bed and stood next to Farah.
“Wayen ra7at!! Ambaih lay9eer feeha shay!!” Rawan exclaimed
Farah called Dalal, but Dalal ignored. “Rawoon 3ndch raqam Faisal?”
Rawan shook her head, “laa bas 3ndy raqam Haya ekhta?”
“Okay call her?” Farah suggested
“Khoufech I call her wenkaber elmawthoo3.. shofay lets just wait, w akeed Dalool shway w terja3.. yemken bas em3a9ba 3ala shay Faisal gala, they’ll work it out.” Rawan said
“Enzain wetha omha yat eldar w es2alt 3anha? Wela Nasser erd w mayelga sayart’ha w e7na ehny! Shno engoul??” Farah asked
“Far7oo lat’hastreen! Maku meshkela, engoul enha ra7at eljam3eya etyeeb shay w etrd!” Rawan said calmly.
Farah nodded; she sat back on Dalal’s bed and looked through a magazine to kill time.

Faisal went back to sit with his family, he was a little angry at the way that Dalal reacted.
He texted Dalal,
“Call me.”

Dalal was driving around the block, resisting the ocean of tears in her eyes, and going over what Faisal said to her over the phone.
“Faisal leave me alone.”

Faisal replied back,
“Dalal shofay, latkabreen elmawtho3. Call me khal netfaham.”

Dalal,
“Faisal? You seriously want me to be calm? Wala men9ijk? Ga3ed temda7ly belbent w et7ala 3alaiha w ent tadre eshloun ehya et7ibik?? Ba3ad ta3al goule walla Dalal khalas qarart abe Muneera bedalich??!!”

Faisal replayed the conversation in his head and was starting to slowly feel guilty; he didn’t realize that what he said would bother Dalal so much. He was just too happy that Muneera finally was being an adult,
“Dalal, please let me explain.. walla elmawtho3 mu chthy.”

Dalal,
“whatever Faisal.”

Faisal knew that if didn’t explain to Dalal and tell her what happened, it would take a long time for her to be okay again, and he didn’t have much time,
“Dalal, ana gelt 7ag Muneera 3ana. Tadre bacher khe6batna, and SHE WAS FINE WITH IT!! A9lan awal shay ma9adagat bas ba3dain she took your number 3ashan etbariklech bacher!! Walla el3atheem elbent taghayerat! Daloola, what I said about her is nothing! I still love you, and only you! Daloola you’re my princess w entay ajmal makhalag raby eb halkoun! Come on please don’t let this ruin our day.. Please baby, I’m sorry w 7agech 3alay walla..”

Dalal read Faisal’s text over and over again, it was hard to believe that Muneera changed, but then again some miracles do happen. She was still a bit upset though, but she knew Faisal was telling her the truth,
“we’ll see about Muneera changing tomorrow..”

Faisal,
“I love you ya bent.. fehmay I love you w mabe ghairech eb hal denya!!”

Dalal blushed,
“Faisal khalas bas;$”

Faisal,
“Rethaytay?”

Dalal replied,
“eeh..”

Faisal,
“ya ba3ad galbee entay walla;* wa3ad ma3edha!!”

Dalal replied,
“a7bick tara..”

Faisal smiled,
“ana amout feech;*”

Dalal smiled and wiped away her tears. She knew that she has a short temper and she loves Faisal for being so understanding about it.
She decided to go get coffee from Starbucks for her and her friends before heading home.
Half an hour later she was back up in her room, with three grande caramel lattes.
“I got us coffee,” Dalal said cheerfully to the girls.
Rawan looked at Farah and back at Dalal, “Walla el3atheem you’re bipolar!”
Dalal brust out laughing, “laa I’m not!!”
“Wayen re7taay haa?? Tara we got so worried about you!!” Farah scolded Dalal
“I’m sorry,” Dalal frowned, “bas walla tethayagt shway men Faisal and I couldn’t stand being in my room. I was suffocating w kent abe hawa shway.. bas now we’re fine.” She blushed.
Rawan rolled her eyes, “wenshalla kel mara you guys are gonna fight, you’re just gonna storm out like that? Bala 9ar feech shay??”
Dalal shook her head, “La la walla this wont happen again.”
“Enzain esh9ar?” Farah asked eagerly.

Dalal explained the whole situation, and what Faisal said about Muneera and how Muneera reacted to everything. Both Rawan and Farah agreed that Muneera is up to no good and that Dalal shouldn’t trust her that easily.

A while later, Faisal texted his sister Haya,
“Hayoona please I need your help, te6l3een weyay?”

Haya,
“Shfeek Fa9ool? Whats wrong?;s”

Faisal,
“Nothing don’t worry, bas tamsheen weyay wela you have plans?”

Haya,
“La ma3ndy shay, eeh I’ll come.. wayen?”

Faisal,
“Salheya.”

Haya,
“3ala shari6 :D”

Faisal,
“khalas yubaa ge3day latyeyn!:)”

Haya,
“laaaa laaa khalas walla ba7term nafsii;$”

Faisal,
“Eeh 3abali ba3ad, yalla gomay I don’t wanna be late.”

Faisal and Haya both got up to leave.
“Yalla e7na ebnamshii, tamroon 3ala shay?” Faisal said as he kissed his grandparents foreheads.
“Salamtek ya wledi, bas 3ad murna gabel la tamshe, latg6aa3!” his grandfather said
“7ather 3ala amerk yadi, amerik enshalla!” Faisal smiled.
“Wayen betro7oon yuma?” Om Khaled asked
“Walla youma 3ndy shaghla basaweeha w Haya betru7 ma3ay.” Faisal said
“W ba3dain Haya betrd ehny?” Om Khaled asked
Faisal shook his head, “Laa la yemkn a3asheeha barra”
“Allah allah yabakhtch ya hayoo, bedalelch elyoum!” Muneera said
Faisal and Haya both smild to Muneera and before leaving the living room, Om Jassem, Muneera’s mother said,
“Haw Faisal, e5thaw Muneera ma3akum? 7aram maskeena ebteg3ad broo7ha!”
Faisal looked back at Muneera and he saw how she hid her smile.
“Laa mama 3adee mu lazem walla!” Muneera protested, but it was clear how much she wanted to go with them.
“Eeh walla Faisal khal etru7 weyakum testans,” Om Khaled said.
Faisal nodded; it was obvious he couldn’t get out of this one, “7ayach.”
Haya knew Faisal wasn’t okay with the idea of Muneera tagging along, but there was nothing they could do.

They got in the car, Muneera of course sat in the back. She wanted to sit in the front, but Haya got there first.
“Faisal wayen benru7?” Muneera asked
“Salheya,” Haya replied
“Allah,” Muneera smiled, “7ag sheno?”
“Walla abe ashtre shay, w abe ray Haya.” Faisal said. ‘Wala law Dalool tadre, betmout..’ he thought to himself.
“Tabe something specific Fa9ool?” Haya asked
“Wala ana 7a6 shay eb bali, bas baroo7 w bashoof yemken alga shay a7la.” Faisal said.
“Is it for you? Wela someone else?” Muneera asked out of curiosty.
“Its for Dalal.. I have plans tomorrow 3ugb elkhe6ba w abe ayeeblaha shay..” Fasial blurted out
“Waaaaaay Faisaaal 7adeck etshaweg walla!! I’m sure she’s gonna love whatever you get!!” Haya said and she pinched her brother’s check.
“Haaayo yalla 3ad shal kalaam.” Faisal said with with half a smile.
“Shno mayseer amdaa7 o5uy? Kayfey kayfey, what you’re planning on doing is so romantic! Ya bakh’tkum eb ba3ath walla!” Haya smiled
“Ela yabakh’ta feek ya Faisal! e7a9elaha wa7ed methlik!” Muneera said
Faisal looked at Muneera from the drivers mirror, “Ela yabakhty feeha walla.. I’m the luckiest person in the world.”
All Muneera did was smile to Faisal’s remark, “Allah ehaneekum eb ba3th.”
She crossed her arms across her chest and sat silently during the whole ride to Salheya.

Faisal knew he had to tell Dalal where he was and with whom, or else it would end up in a really nasty fight if she found out the wrong way.
But it was too late.

As soon as they got to Salheya, Muneera tweeted: “Out with 7abaybe @Haya & @Faisal <3”

And poor Haya retweeted it, and of course, Dalal saw it on her timeline.

“Rawan?” Dalal said as she looked up from her phone. Farah left a while ago and they were sitting in Dalal’s room watching a movie.
“hhm?” Rawan said while stuffing her face with chips.
Dalal put the phone in front of Rawan’s face and showed her the tweet, “Should I be worried?”

Rawan read the tweet and looked at Dalal, “ge6ee3a Muneera lazga matfech??”
“Madrre.. madre wayen ray7een..”
“Shofay, if Faisal doesn’t bring this up, then yes, you should be worried. Bas if he tells you, then Daloola khalas you don’t have to worry.”
And as if Faisal was sitting with them and hearing what they were saying, Dalal received a message from Faisal,

“Daloola, I’m out with Haya oo we were forced to take Muneera weyana. I promise bas ard elbait, aklmch w afhmich kelshay. Please don’t be mad..”

Dalal showed Rawan the message, “Dalool, 7aram walla shakla 9jj maq9oub, don’t throw a fit walla et3a9been.. sem3ay mena bel awal.” Rawan said
Dalal nodded, “Rawan, tadreen shnu wedi aswe?”
“What?” Rawan asked
“Wedi adzlaha message oo agoolaha ‘7abebty, stop trying, Faisal is mine forver;)’” Dalal said with an evil tone
“Ghala6.” Rawan said
“Laaish??” Dalal frowned
“Because that’s so childish and immature. Tabeen taqhreenha? 7egreeha. 7egray w 6awfay w walla betmoout men elqahar.” Rawan said
Dalal thought for a second, “hmm you’re absolutely right.”
“ I know,” Rawan smiled, “al7een chubay abe ashoof elfilm!”

Dalal chuckled and replied back,
“Faisal 7abeby, take care.”

Faisal read Dalal’s message twice because he couldn’t believe that Dalal wasn’t upset or angry. He smiled and thought to himself, ‘zain ashwa ma3a9ebat.. that’s progress..’

They walked around in Salheya, looking through stores. Muneera kept giving Faisal and Haya her opinion, but neither of them listened to her.
At the end, Faisal picked the perfect gift; he knew Dalal would love what he got.
Haya helped him a lot and as a treat, he took them to Lorenzo for dinner.
Muneera was overly excited because she got to sit in front of Faisal over Dinner.
She tried flirting with him, but Haya stopped her every time.
She even tried touching Faisal’s leg with her leg but twice she hit Haya’s leg instead and the third time Faisal moved his leg immediately. With everything that Muneera was doing, Faisal still believed that she changed and that she’s being mature.

After dinner, Faisal dropped Muneera home and then he went back home. Haya kept talking about random things and telling him how much she’s excited about tomorrow. Faisal on the other hand, was starting to worry about next week.
Next week, he’s going back to the states. The simple idea of him being miles away from Dalal is killing him slowly.
“Hayoun?” Faisal began as he parked in the garage.
“Halla?” Haya smiled
“Meta your winter break?” Faisal asked
“A5er January, laish?” Haya said
“Oo the plan enich teyeyn ma3a omy w Khaled oo Sarah is still on?” Fasial asked
Haya nodded, “eeh a9lan baba already 7ajaz! Laish?”
“Yebaw ma3akum Daloola?” Faisal smiled
Haya gasped, “9aaaa7!!!!! Walla F9aail khoush fekra!!!!”
“Etgoleen 7ag omy???” Faisal said
“Laish mu ent etgoolaha?” Haya was confused.
“La2na mabe ta36eni elspeech about ena mayseer w ahlaha mara7 yerthoun etc etc..”
“Enzain la7tha, what if ahlaha mayerthoun?” Haya asked
“La enshalla eb yerthoun, bas please promise me you’ll work on it?”
“I promise 7abeby” Haya smiled and got down and went straight inside.

Faisal went up to his room and put the gift in his drawers for tomorrow. He took a shower and got in bed. He called Dalal a few times but she didn’t pick up.
He guessed she was sleeping, because she was last seen an hour ago on whatsapp.
So he sent her a message,
“I hope my beautiful princess is having sweet dreams. You have no idea how happy I am to have you Dalaly.. allah ekhalech ley. Mani gader a9ber 3ala bacher, I can’t wait to see you 7abebat galbe. Te9b7een 3ala khair ya aghla ma fe denyty entay:*”

To be continued…
