She dreams, she hopes, she loves, she has faith. Like fireflies, it glows in her darkest days, the sweet taste of bittersweet memories. Sunshine and Raindrops, a sweet escape of a world only she knows.
She's strong, she's passionate, and she never gives up.
Most importantly, she's loved.

Part 4.

Faisal didn’t know how to contact Dalal since he deleted her number a year ago. He drove off aimlessly not knowing where to go. All he kept thinking in his mind was how to get to Dalal. He couldn’t just drive over to her house and knock on the door and ask for her. He didn’t want to risk anything with Dalal since her family isn’t completely okay with dating. He eventually called his sister and asked for her help.
“Aloo Hayoona,” Faisal began.
“Let me guess, nsiat wain baitha 9a7?” Haya asked sarcastically.
“La, la lama al7een adela. Bas I don’t have her number.” Faisal confessed.
“Afa 3alaick, consider it done. Al7een a6al3a lek.” Haya assured her brother.
“Thanks 7abebty.” Faisal breathed out and ended the phone call.

Within seconds, Haya sent Faisal Dalal’s contact info with her phone number and address. Luckily Haya was a good friend of Dalal’s cousin Mariam and both Haya and Mariam were upset when they broke up and were willing to do anything to bring Faisal and Dalal back together. As soon as Faisal received the number he didn’t hesitate to call. But every time he called, he either was sent to voicemail or got the line disconnected. “Dalal reday 3alai.” Faisal demanded in his last voice message. But Dalal didn’t answer any of his calls and deleted all his voice messages before even listening to them. She was parked in front of her house but she didn’t want to go in looking like a mess. All she did was cry in her car and when she wanted to recompose herself, she broke down into more tears.
A thousand memories came to her, but the image of the foreign girl kissing Faisal’s cheek vanished them away. In her mind, he was still hers. In her mind, he belonged to her and no one could come near him. In her mind, she was the only girl in his world even though they broke up a year ago. She wasn’t ready to share him and will never be ready to give him up.
Dalal had a sinking feeling and was very dizzy from all the tears she cried. She felt as if she lost everything that meant to her. The hope she built all year long was slowly fading away and disappearing. She fell into despair.

Her phone rang for the twentieth time, she ignored it at first thinking it was Faisal, but when she checked the caller ID it was Mariam, her cousin. ‘Good,’ Dalal thought to herself. ‘I need Mariam now.’ With a deep breath Dalal answered the call.
“Aloo?” Dalal whispered and tried to sound calm.
“Sem3ay,” Mariam demanded.
Dalal was surprised with Mariam’s stern voice and didn’t reply.
“Ba36echyaha men el akher. Faisal bedig 3alaich al7een, ana 3a6ait Hayo your new number. Walla el3atheem ya Dalal etha maradaitay 3alaih ya walich!” Mariam threatened.
Although Mariam was two years younger than Dalal, Dalal looked up to Mariam. They’re close cousins and considered sisters since Dalal was the only girl between three brothers.
Dalal kept quiet. In her head she was interrogating Mariam and asking how she found out, but in reality she was silent as a mouse.
“Dalool?” Mariam’s tone became softer.
“Maryooma,” Dalal frowned and cried silently again.
Mariam sighed, “look madree shino 9ayer bainkom, Faisal didn’t tell Haya. All he said was that he didn’t want to lose you.”
The image came back to Dalal and repulsed her so she said quietly, “but she kissed him, and he did nothing about it.”
Mariam gasped and was very confused, “What?”
Dalal kept her silence and sobbed. “la7tha Dalool 3an elbachi oo fahmeni, who kissed who?” Mariam said.
Dalal took a deep breath and explained everything that happened from the moment she saw Faisal and when she got to the last part she sobbed in between each word. Dalal didn’t want sympathy from Mariam she wanted guidance. But what Mariam said wasn’t what Dalal expected.
“Yal habla!!” Mariam yelled and broke into laughter.
“Entay laish ga3da teth7keen? Mako shay etha7k!” Dalal wailed.
“Aqsm belalla enich film!” Mariam laughed, “Dalool hathy Sarah murt okho Faisal!”
“Laa,” Dalal protested, “shakelha mu kuwaity!”
“Eeh, ehya mu kuwaitya,” Mariam answered.
“Wentay eshdarach?” Dalal yelled.
“I’m still friends with Hayo remember? Matathkreen in April re7t 3irs Khalid? I told you Dalool, Khalid ebytzawaj Sarah. She’s half American half Danish.”
Dalal fell quiet as she slowly started to remember the facts.
“Ya3ne Faisal is still single?” Dalal asked.
“Eeh!!” Mariam yelled.

Dalal started calming herself again, and the repulsive feeling was slowly fading away. She still felt jealous and wary but the hope she built was coming back to her.
“Daloola please lat’9ay3een nafsich again. You love Faisal don’t you?” Mariam asked.
“With all my heart,” Dalal whispered.
“Khalas 3ayal, redai 3alaih ya bent, and fix what you had with him please.” Mariam pleaded.
Dalal nodded and promised her cousin she would answer Faisal’s next call.

Part 3.

Sorry for the delay :*
______________________

She wasn’t drop dead gorgeous, nor was she ugly. She was pretty and attractive. Just pretty and attractive. The tall girl had light brown hair with streaks of blonde. She was white, not the pale white, but the white that left her cheeks red. The tall girl walked to where they were standing. She gave the tall girl a questioning look as she came closer. ‘What was happening? Who is that girl?’ she thought. He looked at the girl and smiled. She knew all his cousins and family, but that girl looked nothing like them. She looked foreign.
“Hey,” the tall girl said.
“Hey Sarah,” he replied back.
She stood silently observing them.
“Good morning,” Sarah said as she pecked his cheek, “we’re all waiting for you inside.”
Her heart stopped. She felt hot liquid rise up her throat. Her stomach flipped and she was about to cry. ‘How could he?’ she thought. She wanted to slap the girl for kissing him. But what killed her the most wasn’t the kiss; it was the fact that he didn’t do anything. He didn’t push her off nor did he tell her to stop. She breathed out, “I, I need to go now.” She looked at him disgustingly and took steps back towards her car. She tried to keep her voice calm, but the anger and pain took over.
“La, la don’t go.” He followed her.
Sarah stood watching them with a lost look. She didn’t know what was going on, and she couldn’t understand most of the language.
She pushed him away and got into her car and started the engine. He banged on the window, “Please, khanafhmch.. Latro7een,”
“Etfahmney shno?” She yelled. “Bas khalas mabe afham shay. A9lan ana madre laish thaya3t wakty oo yait. You obviously moved on, wana elghabeya ely 3abaly you didn’t.” She put her car in reverse and drove off crying miserably.
He stood with a blank look and stared angrily at Sarah who was fiddling with her phone.
“Did you have to do that?” He yelled.
“What? I’m sorry I’m still learning.” Sarah protested.
Where Sarah came from, it was more than okay to kiss a brother in law, but where he came from it wasn’t.
“I’m sorry if I interrupted anything?” Sarah apologized.
“Well I hoped there would be a thing, but thanks to you, there won’t be anything.” He ran back inside. A year away from her was enough for him; he didn’t want to lose her again.

He looked frantically around his room for his phone and key that he didn’t hear the knock on his door.
“Faisal?” His brother called.
“Ha? Shino?” Faisal looked alarmed.
“Eshga3d etsawe? Yala tara eb yabde el film?”
Since their childhood, Faisal, Khalid and their baby sister Haya would have a movie marathon with their cousins and family each Friday. Now that they’re older, there’s a new addition to their gathering, which was Sarah. The three siblings decided to never miss out on a Friday gathering since both Faisal and Khalid study abroad.
“Adwer mefta7y,” Faisal replied shortly, and then he remembered that the reason he was in this dilemma was because of his brother’s wife. “Oo raja2an goul 7ag Sarah ena she can’t keep kissing us anymore!” Faisal snapped.
Khalid had a confused look; he wasn’t the conservative type and knew that his wife was loyal to him.
“Khalas enshalla ba7acheeha, bas tabe mefta7 shino? Laish wayn betroo7?” Khalid asked.
Faisal found his keys on his dresser, grabbed his phone and walked out of his room totally ignoring Khalid’s last question. He dashed down the stairs and just as he was about to leave Haya bumped into him. Khalid, unaware of what was wrong with Faisal, went to the living room to have a word with his wife.

“Faisal wayen betroo7?” Haya asked.
“Hayoona 7abebty I’m sorry bas I’m going to miss ga3datna elyoum.” Faisal apologized to his seventeen-year-old sister.
“Laish Faisal? Eshfeek?” Haya frowned.
Even though there was a five-year gap between Faisal and Haya, their relationship was very close. Faisal breathed out and looked intently at Haya, thinking whether to tell her or not.
“Faisal what’s wrong?” Haya gripped Faisal’s arm and looked at him sternly.
“Dalal.” Faisal replied.
It took Haya ten seconds to remember who Dalal was and what she meant to Faisal. When Faisal and Dalal broke up, Haya stopped talking to Faisal for weeks because she knew they were meant for each other.
“Eshfeeha?” Haya tried to stay calm.
“Sheftha, tawa. Ehny kanat bara. Bas ra7at. Ra7at 3ani.” Faisal stuttered.
“What??” Haya shrieked, “Shloun? Laish yat?” Haya asked for more details but all Faisal could do was shrug and shake his head. He didn’t have any answers, but he was desperate for them. Faisal tried to free himself from Haya’s grip so that he could run to Dalal, but Haya held his arm tightly.
“La7tha, gabl latroo7. Goly shino betsawe al7een?” Haya asked.
“Madree! Stop asking me questions I don’t have answers to,” Faisal yelled. “Kel ely a3arfa ena I don’t want to lose her again.” And with those words, Faisal stormed out of his house and got into his car to accomplish his mission.

The Anniversary.

This post is dedicated to you.
Enjoy love;*
__________________________________________

A perfect morning it was, waking up beside you. As I lay awake and watch you sleep I keep wishing time would stop and that I could savor every moment. You’re way deep in your slumber that you didn’t even feel me crawl closer to you and trace your bare arms. You keep snoring slightly and breathing deeply. I didn’t want to wake you since you only slept for two hours. I slowly got off of you and turned the shutters down, so that the sunrays were vanished, and we were in total darkness again. I crept slowly back in bed and placed myself back into your opened arms. I smiled happily; knowing that this was my place, mine only. I smiled happily; knowing that you belonged to me. I smiled happily; knowing that we will always be forever. I smiled happily; knowing that no matter how much we fight, at the end of the day its always going to be you who I run to and me who you'll hold on to. I smiled happily; knowing that I found you my missing puzzle piece. I smiled happily; knowing that I have you. I smiled happily and I felt you smile back.
I couldn’t go back to sleep, not because I was sad or upset. I was happy. I was extremely happy that I couldn’t stop smiling.

I sat up and traced your face. Your jaw line was perfectly drawn around your chin. Your cheekbones so high and bold fit perfectly with the shape of your wide eyes. Your nose is a fine straight line that intercepts with your perfectly drawn lips. I leaned my face closer and stared at your lips. I love how your lower lip is fuller than your upper lip. The things your lips do and say; turn my world upside down. I wanted you. I wanted to wake you up, but you were sleeping like a baby. I looked over the mountain of crumpled sheets and smiled. I whispered your name a few times but I got no response from you. I slowly took your hand and kissed your wrist and moved up your arm till I got to your neck. I slowly breathed out on your neck and felt your hands creep up my sides.
I smiled happily knowing what’s up to come. You pulled me off of you and laid me next to you.  I felt your broad chest get pressed on mine as you whispered words of love right into my ears. You were everywhere in a minute, all I could feel was the rush of it all.
The rush and happiness and excitement all slowly escalates as if you’re getting pulled up and ready to bungee jump, and with one small push; ecstasy.
“Happy anniversary, I love you so much.” He whispered.
“Happy anniversary to you too, I love you so much more.” I whispered back.
