You know the excitement you get when you're standing in line waiting for the long queue to move along so you can finally get on the roller coaster that you've been waiting to get on forever?
And then its finally your turn, and you get on.
Your heart starts beating fast, everything begins to get blurry, all you can think about are the next thrilling 3 minutes of your life. You know the ride is going to be a scary one, yet you also know, that it won't last forever, you know its just for a little while and its going to be over.
Everyone settles in and there's this sound, a sound that tells you that the ride has begun. You now slowly begin to hold on to the handles, even though the train is moving slowly along the tracks.
As the train climbs high, your heartbeat is now the only thing you can hear.
As it reaches the top, you hold your breath and close your eyes, but only the bravest keep their eyes open for the fall.
Your tummy flips as you zoom through the ride, you're screaming out and probably crying as well, depending on how scary the ride is. Yet, your screams are out of excitement and your tears are from the joy.
The palms of your hands are sweaty from how hard you're holding on to the handles, even when you know that if you let go, you won't fall, cause you're held tight behind the bars.
Before you know it, the train glides back to where you started, and the same sound that started the ride, comes back again signaling the end of the ride.
You open your eyes, the safety bars open up and the you suddenly realize the amount of adrenaline you got from getting onto that ride.
You start laughing hysterically because you had the best time of your life.
Maybe some of you would go back on that ride, and maybe some would ride just once.
Maybe some of you liked the ride and maybe some didn't enjoy it as much.
The point is, you all got on, you all experienced the same ride, but you all got different reactions.
You might tell your friends that you had a good time, you might tell them to try it out. On the other hand, you might tell them not to go on that ride, you'll give them your opinion, you'll share your experience.
Life, is like a roller coaster, yet no one really knows how or when it's going to glide back to the end.
You constantly hold your breath, you savor the good times and you just wish you can zoom through the bad times, sometimes there are loops where you go through hard things and it might seem never-ending, yet the funny thing is, its all balanced out.
You get good as much as you get bad.
You get hard as much as you get easy.
You might enjoy some moments and you might just wish that you don't go through some moments again.
The difference between a roller coaster and life, is that you know when to hold your breath, you know when the scary part is coming, you know when its going to end.
In life, you'll never know how the ride is going to be, one second you can be in your lowest moments and the other you're flying sky-high. Most important thing is to enjoy the ride cause what's the point of getting on a boring roller coaster, right?
